The Cheshire Area of NAFAS

Start A Fashion Share A Passion

Since attending the "Start A Fashion Share A Passion" courses at Plumley Village Hall organised so brilliantly by the JDS and E Team and tutors my flower design skills have come on in leaps and bounds. During the first course I entered a special competition organised by my club and won a trophy. The guidance on the course was given in such a friendly and fun manner and I welcomed all the helpful tips and never felt stupid when I obviously was not achieving the correct elements and principles of flower design whilst creating my two designs per course. I would encourage anyone reading this piece to join the future courses, whether a complete novice or established flower designer. I have made new friends on the course watching some go through to passing the Area Demonstrators Test, and observing their delight at taking bookings to demonstrate at Cheshire Clubs. As my confidence had been given that extra boost by attending the courses, in June I had no hesitation in offering to create a design to celebrate the 90 th birthday of Her Majesty the Queen. It was placed near the pulpit at St. Helen's Church Tarporley.
