A Spring Landscape Design with a Difference - Provided by Chris O'Hara

Follow the step-by-step instructions below to create your own distinctive arrangement.

You will need:

Foam wreath ring * Flat moss * Pieces of bark * Sprigs of skimmia or similar foliage * Lengths of trailing ivy * Interesting leaves (for example ivy and cyclamen) * A glass container * Twigs * Bun Moss * A few small spring flowers from the garden * Mossing pins or wire hairpins * Decorative reel wire


Requirements.

Cover the ring with the flat moss, secure with the mossing pins.

Place the bark on the moss and secure with the wire, taking it around the ring.

Wind the ivy trails around the base of the ring placing the cut ends into the wet foam. Add the pieces of foliage and the leaves.

Glass container, bun moss and twigs.

Place the bun moss into the glass container.

Add the twigs, the bun moss will help to hold the twigs in place, alternatively you could use pebbles or glass beads.

Place the glass container in the middle of the foam ring and finish by adding the spring flowers into the decorated ring.

I added some ready wired eggs to the design this was a personal choice and as such is optional.

If kept moist the ring will last a long time, the bun moss and twigs may be removed, water added to the container and spring blossoms such as cherry, lilac forsythia etc. added, making this a lasting but changing design.
